The long-awaited 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift will finally go on sale in the Indian market on March 21. The updated model comes with Kodiaq-inspired design changes along with an upgraded cabin with longer list of features. While the engine options remain the same, the SUV now gets a new 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Interested customers can pre-book the new Kushaq online or at authorised Skoda dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 15,000.
The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift is available with two turbo petrol engines, including a 1.0L, 3-cylinder and a 1.5L TSI. While the former is good for 114hp and 178Nm, the 4-cylinder turbo unit produces 150hp and 250Nm of torque. Instead of a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit, the 1.0L TSI version gets an 8-speed automatic unit. Other gearbox options include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG (1.5L Only).
The new Kushaq will come in 5 trim levels - Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo. The base variant is equipped with 25+ active and passive safety features with 6 airbags as standard. In terms of features, the base-spec Kushaq gets a single-pane electric sunroof, LED lighting system, 16-inch alloy wheels, sequential turn indicators, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with smartphone connectivity, automatic climate control, rain sensing wiper, and rear wiper and defogger.
The top-spec Monte Carlo and Prestige variants are packed with 40+ Active and Passive safety features. It gets a panoramic sunroof, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, front parking sensors, and a rear seat massager function. The SUV also gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, and a bigger 10.25-inch digital driver’s display.
The new Skoda Kushaq comes with Supercare Package for a complete peace of mind. This package includes 4 years standard warranty, 4 years RSA (Roadside Assistance), and 4 free services.
Production of the new Kushaq has already been commenced at Pune manufacturing facility. We expect the new Kushaq to carry a price tag of around Rs 10.5 lakh for base model and Rs 19 lakh for the top-spec Monte Carlo. It will take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Renault Duster, Tata Sierra and others in the category.
