The company will introduce the global Jetour T2 PHEV SUV based SUV, which is rumoured to be called the JSW Combat. This SUV promises over 1,000 km of driving range. JSW Motors will mark its official entry as an independent automotive brand with a new 5-seater rugged SUV, called the JSW Combat. It is based on the global Chery Jetour T2 platform and marks JSW’s official entry into the passenger vehicle market. It is scheduled to launch during the Diwali 2026 festive season.
We expect the new JSW Combat PHEV to cost somewhere between Rs 30 lakh and Rs 40 lakh, ex-showroom.

The Combat will be packed with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) engine paired with dual electric motors, a dedicated battery pack and a 3-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (3DHT). The powertrain offers a combined power and torque output of 360 hp and 610 Nm, respectively.

The Combat (Jetour T2) is built on a monocoque platform, which allows it to offer smooth, car-like handling and comfort for daily city driving while maintaining rugged off-road capability.
The 5-seater off-roader has a ground clearance of 220mm, and water wading depth of 700mm. Moreover, it is packed with an intelligent AWD (All-Wheel Drive)/ X-Smart Terrain Modes.
The Combat will be a 5-seater, 2-row SUV, which has a long wheelbase of 2800mm to ensure generous legroom and boot space. It will measure around 4,785mm in length, 2006mm in width and 1,880mm in height.

For safety and security, the SUV gets multiple airbags, 360-degree surround view camera, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
This 5-seater lifestyle SUV will take on the likes of the Mahindra Scorpio-N, Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass/ Jeep Meridian and the MG Hector Tomahawk PHEV. It also comes as an alternative to the likes of the Honda ZR-V hybrid and the Toyota Fortuner.
