Tata Tiago i-CNG and the Maruti Suzuki Celerio S-CNG are one of the top-selling CNG cars on sale in the Indian market. Both CNG cars have received positive response from car buyers in the country. The Tiago CNG is available in the price bracket of Rs 6.60 lakh to Rs 8.90 lakh. On the flip side, the Maruti Celerio CNG is available in a single variant that costs Rs 6.74 lakh.
In terms of proportions, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG is 3,695mm in length, 1,655mm in width and 1,555mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,435mm. On the other hand, the Tiago iCNG is 3,765mm long, 1,677mm wide and 1,535mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,400mm.
In terms of boot capacity, the Tiago iCNG has a total luggage carrying capacity of 242-litres. The hatchback has twin CNG cylinders, which ensures no compromise in terms of luggage carrying capacity. In comparison, the Celerio CNG is claimed to offer a boot space of 313-litres, which is designed in a manner that carrying a big luggage is a problem.

In terms of features, the Tata Tiago iCNG comes with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, an automatic air conditioning and a Harman-sourced sound system. It also gets a multi-functional steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver seat, a fully digital instrument console and a remote keyless entry. This CNG model is fitted with auto-fold outside rear view mirrors, projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights and a cooled glove box. Tata Motors is also offering a puncture repair kit.
The Celerio CNG is available only in the mid-spec VXi trim, which is also fairly loaded with features. It gets manual AC, power windows, a semi-digital instrument console, dual front airbags, ABS, reverse parking sensors, speed alert system and other. This is clearly evident that the Celerio CNG misses out on several high-end features that are accessible in the Tiago CNG.
