In a world where practicality dances hand-in-hand with elegance, there emerges a popular MPV – the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. Since it launched in April 2012, the Ertiga has become a successful and well-received model in the Indian car market. Over the years, Maruti Suzuki has periodically updated the Ertiga to keep it fresh and competitive in the market.
Before you buy a new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV, don't forget to check out its specifications and features. Let's move further to understand the design, technology, and engine options of the 2023 Ertiga model:

The Ertiga is designed to cater to families and urban commuters, offering plenty of space, comfort, and practicality. Its exterior design features a modern and attractive front fascia with a chrome winged front grille and a large bumper with definite creases. The MPV also provides chrome garnish, extending the width of the vehicle along with new L-shaped LED taillamps.
Inside, the Ertiga provides a spacious cabin with a smart second-row and third-row seating configuration, accommodating up to seven passengers. The interior is well-appointed, with comfortable seating and ample legroom for passengers. The MPV also has a large and flexible boot space, making it suitable for long journeys. The second and third-row seats can be folded to create additional luggage space when needed, enhancing its versatility.
Maruti provides a 1.5-litre K15C engine for the Ertiga MPV. This unit is available for both petrol and CNG fuel types. The petrol engine has the capability of producing 102 bhp with 136 Nm of torque while in CNG mode, it only delivers 87 bhp of power output and 121 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox with a paddle shifter on offer.
The MPV also delivers a good balance of power and fuel economy. Its petrol variants offer 20.51 kmpl and 26.11 km/kg for the CNG trims, making it a popular choice for those seeking higher mileage.

In terms of technology, the Ertiga comes with a 7-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The MPV also has a dedicated roof-mounted AC for the second row with 3-stage speed control.
Apart from this, the Ertiga offers digital MID, USB and AUX connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity, and four speakers. For the higher variants, Maruti offers ARKAMYS premium sound system.

Maruti Suzuki has equipped the Ertiga with various safety features, such as four airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Engine Immobilizer, Hill Hold, Rear Parking Sensors, and Rear Parking Camera, ensuring enhanced safety for occupants.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been a successful model since its first arrival in the market. The MPV has also gained popularity among Indian families due to its practicality and affordability. Moreover, it is priced competitively between Rs 8.64 lakh to Rs 13.8 lakh (ex-showroom), making it an attractive option for those seeking a reliable and affordable MPV.
