In order to further strengthen its market position, Kia India is now readying 3 all-new products for the Indian market. The company will introduce the new-gen Carnival and the EV9 electric SUV in our market before the end of this year. Early next year, the Korean brand will introduce an all-new compact SUV - rumoured to be called the Kia Clavis. The small SUV has been caught testing numerous times on the Indian roads, revealing some interesting details. In this article, we listed a few of the top features to be offered on the upcoming Kia Clavis.

The new Clavis SUV will be positioned between the Sonet and Seltos in Kia India line-up. The spy images reveal that the new sub-4 meter SUV will be equipped with a panoramic sunroof, which will give it a competitive advantage. Most of the compact SUVs (below sub-4 meter SUV category) are equipped with single-pane sunroof. In fact, the VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and the Honda Elevate are offered with a single-pane sunroof.
The spy images show the addition of a radar module at the front, which confirms that the Kia Clavis will be equipped with ADAS tech. It is likely to offer features like autonomous emergency braking, lane assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and others.
The new Kia Clavis will be offered with a wide range of safety and security features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree surround view camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), front parking sensors and rear disc brakes.
Previous spy images reveal that the new Clavis will be equipped with ventilated front seats. The button for the ventilated seat is placed right next to the interior door handles. Adding to it, the SUV will also receive a powered driver's seat.
5. Both ICE & Electric Powertrains

The Kia Clavis compact SUV will come with both ICE and electric powertrain options. The ICE version is likely to arrive in early 2025, followed by EV in late next year. The Clavis could also be the brand's first model to feature a hybrid powertrain in India. It is expected to be powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 120PS and 200Nm of torque. Both manual and automatic gearbox options are likely to be on offer. The EV is expected to be fitted with a battery pack of around 40-45kWh with a front-axle mounted electric motor. We expect the new model to offer a range of around 350km to 400km on a single charge.
