The fourth-gen Nissan X-Trail has returned after a decade and it will be brought here as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU). It will be offered with a single variant and three exterior paint schemes namely Diamond Black, Champagne Silver, and Pearl White.
Talking about its visual appeal, the India-spec X-Trail has similar looks to its global-spec model. Up front, it features a V-shaped grille with a chrome surround, split headlight, and LED DRLs. Other noteworthy features include thick body cladding, 20-inch alloy wheels, chunky skid plate, and wraparound LED taillights.
The India-bound X-Trail comes with an all-black cabin theme and fabric upholstery. In addition, the SUV has a variety of tech features including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a fully digital driver's display, a wireless charger, and a panoramic sunroof.
2024 Nissan X-Trail offers a wide range of safety features. These include seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, front & rear parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Under the hood, the X-Trail houses a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder VCT engine, paired to a 12V mild-hybrid system. With the CVT gearbox, the power output stands at 160 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. Three drive modes and steering modes are also there namely Eco, Standard, and Sport.
The official price reveal is scheduled for August 1, 2024. We believe that Nissan could price this India-spec X-Trail at Rs 28 lakh to Rs 32 lakh (ex-showroom). As for the rivals, the SUV will compete with the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, and Hyundai Tucson.
