Jeep Meridian

Jeep Meridian is a mid-size three row SUV that is currently on sale in India. Known as the Jeep Commander internationally, the new model is specifically designed for Latin American and Indian markets. The 2023 model utilises FCA’s Small Wide Global Platform that also underpins the Jeep Compass in our country.

Jeep Meridian Exterior

The Meridian's exterior design is a mix between the Compass and the more expensive Grand Cherokee SUVs. Upfront the vehicle provides the familiar 7-slat grille that is flanked by new LED headlamp units. Compared to the Compass, the Meridian offers a chrome bar that splits the bumper in two and runs the width of the SUV. 

Moving to the sides, we get to see muscular shoulder lines, a dual tone colour, flared wheel arches and new design R18 alloy wheels. 

Towards the rear, the off-roader gets a large flat tailgate that features new wraparound design for the LED tail lamps along with a thick chrome bar with JEEP lettering.

Jeep Meridian Interior and Features

Interior: The SUV's interiors exude a sense of sophistication. The SUV provides leather upholstery all-around along with soft touch materials on the dashboard and door handles. 

Features: The Meridian Interior layout and the feature list remains identical to the Jeep Compass.  

It is equipped with several features, such as:

• A large 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment unit
• A 10.2-inch digital driver's cockpit
• A wireless charger
• Dual-zone air conditioning
• A panoramic sunroof
• A power-adjustable driver's seat with a memory function
• Ventilated front seats, among others.

Safety: In terms of safety, the New Meridian gets 6-airbags, a 360-degree camera, ESC, e-park brake with auto hold, TPMS, hill-start assist, hill-descent control and more basic equipment.

Jeep Meridian: Price and Variants

Jeep Meridian price in India starts from Rs 2333000 and extends up to Rs 3966000 (ex-showroom). It is offered in 20 variants - Limited and Limited (O) with both manual and automatic transmission options.

Engine and Specification

Meridian comes powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine rated for a maximum power output of 168 bhp and peak torque of 350 Nm. The powertrain is mated to a 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic option in FWD or AWD configuration.

The MODEL measures 4,769 mm in length, 1,859 mm in width and 1,698 mm in height having a wheelbase of 2,782 mm. The car gets a 60-litre fuel tank and 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.

The SUV delivers an ARAI Certified mileage of 16 kmpl depending upon the variant selected.

Colour Options

Jeep Meridian is available in 5 different colour options. These include Brilliant Black, Pearl White, Magnesio Grey, Techno Metallic Green and Velvet Red.
