Jeep India has teased a new special edition of its three-row SUV, the Jeep Meridian Track Edition. The launch is expected in the coming weeks. This new version will be sold alongside the regular Meridian variants and the Trail Edition.
The Track Edition is likely to focus mainly on cosmetic changes to give the SUV a sportier and more premium look.
Jeep had earlier introduced a Track Edition for the Compass, and the Meridian version is expected to follow a similar style.
The Meridian Track Edition may get a bonnet decal, piano black inserts on the grille, and blacked-out exterior elements. It is also expected to feature special edition badging and a new finish for the 18-inch alloy wheels. These changes will help the SUV stand out from the standard trims while keeping its overall design the same.

Inside, the Jeep Meridian Track Edition is expected to receive new upholstery themes and contrast accents. There could also be edition-specific detailing to make it look different from the regular models.
However, the overall dashboard layout and feature list are likely to remain unchanged.
There will be no mechanical changes in the Meridian Track Edition. It will continue with the 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 168 bhp and 350 Nm of torque.
The SUV will be offered in both 4x2 and 4x4 options. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual gearbox and a nine-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The Meridian is known for its strong performance and comfortable long-distance driving.
Once launched, the Jeep Meridian Track Edition will compete with premium three-row SUVs such as the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line, MG Majestor, Toyota Fortuner, and Skoda Kodiaq.
More details about pricing and features are expected to be announced soon.
