Jeep India has launched the 2026 Jeep Meridian in the Indian market with a key update focused on comfort and practicality. The biggest change is the addition of sliding second-row seats on select variants, making the three-row SUV more family-friendly. This update is available on the Limited and Overland trims.

The main highlight of the 2026 update is the new sliding function for the second-row seats. These seats now offer up to 140 mm of forward and backward movement, allowing users to balance space between the second and third rows or free up extra boot space when needed.
The split seat setup allows the 40 percent section to slide up to 310 mm and the 60 percent section up to 290 mm. There is also a 33-degree forward tilt, which makes getting into the third row easier, especially for families with children or elderly passengers.

Jeep has also revised the seating angles for better comfort. The second-row seats now come with a 23-degree torso angle and an additional 12-degree recline. These changes are designed to improve comfort on long journeys while still meeting safety standards, making the Meridian more comfortable when all seven seats are occupied.
Apart from the seating update, the 2026 Jeep Meridian continues with the same design and feature package. It retains Jeep’s signature seven-slot grille, LED headlamps, and a premium-looking exterior.
Inside, the SUV offers a well-finished cabin with premium materials and a practical three-row layout. Key features include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, 12-way powered and ventilated front seats, and high-quality upholstery.
The Meridian continues to offer a strong tech package. It comes with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Jeep’s Uconnect connected technology offers over 30 connected features, including remote vehicle functions and real-time vehicle health updates.
Safety remains a strong focus for Jeep. The Meridian offers over 70 active and passive safety features, with ADAS available on select variants and tuned for Indian road conditions.
Powering the SUV is the familiar 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine, producing 170 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The Meridian is also offered with Jeep’s Selec-Terrain 4×4 system, giving it solid on-road and off-road capability. Jeep claims an ARAI-certified mileage of up to 16.25 kmpl.
Prices for the 2026 Jeep Meridian with sliding second-row seats start at Rs 30,01,000 (ex-showroom). The overall Meridian lineup continues to start from Rs 23,33,000 (ex-showroom). Bookings are now open, and the updated SUV is available across Jeep dealerships in India.
