Jeep India has finally launched two special editions of its Meridian SUV named Meridian Upland and Meridian X. The brand introduced these SUVs to provide a distinctive lifestyle to its customers. While the Meridian X is designed using sophisticated elements, the Meridian Upland is an adventure-focused SUV; it comes with a functional roof carrier and a unique hood decal. In addition, the American automaker has added two new colour options Silvery Moon and Galaxy Blue to the Meridian Special Editions.
Bookings for both these SUVs are now open across all Jeep authorized dealerships and via the company official website along with immediate deliveries. The price of Jeep Meridian starts from Rs 32.95 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
The Meridian Upland features enhanced adventure elements for those who like to go to offbeat places. These elements include functional equipment such as a roof carrier, side steps, splash guards, sunshades, a boot organizer, tire cargo mats, and a unique hood decal.
Jeep has designed the Meridien X to suit urban lifestyle. The SUV offers stylish body colour lowers, a grey roof, and alloy wheels with grey pockets. Moreover, the Meridian X comes equipped with side moulding and puddle lamps. Besides it provides ambient lighting giving the interior a premium look.
Apart from this, both vehicles feature a panoramic sunroof, 4x4 selec-terrain system, and more.
There are no changes to the powertrain option on both SUVs. These come equipped with the same 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel option. The engine is capable of generating 167 bhp of power output and 350 Nm of peak torque, mated to either 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission option.
