Honda ZR-V Hybrid set to launch in late 2026 with strong hybrid technology. Honda Elevate Hybrid expected to launch by mid-2026 with a highly efficient powertrain. Honda CR-V Hybrid to return in 2027 with premium features and hybrid efficiency.
Honda is set to expand its hybrid lineup in India with several exciting SUV models expected to launch between 2026 and 2027. These upcoming Honda hybrid cars will feature the brand's e:HEV strong-hybrid technology. Key models include the Honda Elevate Hybrid, Honda CR-V Hybrid, and the Honda ZR-V Hybrid. Let’s know more about the upcoming Honda hybrid SUVs in India:
Honda's ZR-V Hybrid is expected to be launched by the end of 2026. This hybrid SUV is part of Honda's strategy to introduce global models to strengthen its brand image in India. The ZR-V will be powered by a 2.0L petrol engine paired with two electric motors, delivering a combined 184 bhp and 315 Nm of torque. The SUV promises impressive fuel efficiency, with a claimed range of 22.2 kmpl.
Design-wise, the ZR-V features a signature oval front grille, LED headlamps with DRLs, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Inside, it will come equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, leatherette upholstery, and a Bose sound system. The ZR-V is expected to offer both manual and automatic transmission options, with performance numbers that include a 0-100 kmph time of 7.8 seconds.

Honda is also working on a hybrid version of its popular Elevate SUV, which is expected to launch by mid-2026. This hybrid will likely use the same powertrain as the Honda City e:HEV. The Elevate Hybrid will feature a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine combined with two electric motors, offering a smooth driving experience. Honda is working on localising this hybrid powertrain to make the SUV more affordable in the Indian market.
Honda Elevate Hybrid is expected to deliver a mileage of around 26 kmpl (ARAI) and offer a driving range of about 1,000 km on a single tank. This will make it a strong contender among affordable hybrid cars in India, offering great fuel efficiency and low running costs.

This premium hybrid SUV will likely be offered as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) unit, which could push its price range to Rs 40-45 lakh. It will feature a 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain delivering 204 bhp, paired with an electric all-wheel-drive (AWD) system for better performance and efficiency.
Inside, the CR-V Hybrid is expected to feature a modern cabin with a large 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, along with Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) safety features. This flagship model will compete with premium SUVs like the Skoda Kodiaq and Hyundai Tucson.
