The 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift has been spotted ahead of its official launch on February 20, 2026. The biggest highlight of this update is likely to be a bigger battery pack, which could significantly improve the driving range.
With strong demand for affordable electric SUVs in India, Tata Motors seems ready to make the Punch EV even more practical for daily use.

The current Tata Punch EV is offered with 25 kWh and 35 kWh battery options. The larger battery delivers an ARAI-certified range of up to 270 km.
However, the 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift is expected to come with a larger battery pack (45 kWh). This upgrade could push the real-world driving range higher (somewhere around 489-500+ km), making it more suitable for city as well as highway drives.
A longer range will also help reduce range anxiety, which is one of the main concerns for EV buyers.

The outgoing model produces:
- 81 bhp and 114 Nm (25 kWh version)
- 122 bhp and 190 Nm (35 kWh version)
With a new battery setup, the facelifted Tata Punch EV may also get a more powerful electric motor in the top variant. This could improve both performance and efficiency.
Tata Motors is also expected to offer a lifetime battery warranty, adding more confidence for buyers.
Along with the battery upgrade, the Tata Punch EV facelift will get styling changes similar to the ICE Punch facelift.
At the rear, it features connected LED tail lamps running across the tailgate. The bumper gets a dual-tone finish with a grey insert and a revised skid plate design.
At the front, the charging port remains hidden behind the Tata logo. The earlier full-width LED light bar has been replaced with a slimmer black trim strip. Other elements like the triangular headlamp surrounds and lower air dam have also been updated.
Inside, the cabin layout will be similar to the ICE Punch. The feature list is expected to include:
- 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- 360-degree camera
- Blind spot monitoring
- Connected car technology
- Wireless charging pad
- Ventilated front seats
These features make the Punch EV one of the most feature-rich electric SUVs in its segment.
The current Tata Punch EV is priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 14.44 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2026 facelift model is likely to cost slightly more due to the bigger battery and added features.
With improved range, updated design, and modern tech, the 2026 Tata Punch EV could continue to be one of the best-selling affordable electric SUVs in India.
