Jeep is an iconic American car brand that needs no introduction. A popular choice among off-road enthusiasts, their products have won the heart of many Indians. With a lean but focused model line-up, that includes models like the Compass, Compass Trailhawk, Meridian, Wrangler and the Grand Cherokee the brand has become a household name. Today we trace the brands lineage in terms of product offerings and why they are a popular choice for customers in the country. Jeeps are Flexible Automobiles The beauty of a Jeep vehicle is its flexibility in relation to the product range that the brand has to offer. From a compact crossover to a full blown SUV, customers have a wide variety of options to choose from. In addition the attributes of a Jeep car are close to none. Starting with the Jeep Compass which was the first vehicle to be introduced by the brand in India. At that time, the compact SUV provided the new car buyer with the option of getting a premium looking vehicle that could not only handle your everyday task but also the occasional excursions on the broken highways. This aside, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk is very much part of the Indian line-up wherein owners get to experience its hardcore off-roading potential. Ideal for the wild, this particular version has garnered a lot of love from buyers. Next in line is the not so long ago introduced Jeep Meridian SUV. From 5 seats in the Compass to 7 seats, this vehicle is a premium offering that has ample space, practicality and performance. Out of the lot the most flexible offering from the brand is Wrangler. This true breed SUV can go anywhere and do anything no matter what you throw at it. For a more than capable off-roader, the SUV offers users the flexibility of converting the vehicle from a hardtop to a convertible by mere dismantling some of its parts. As a result what you get is an ideal off-road machine that lets you enjoy the natural surroundings without having to worry about anything. Finally the crown jewel of Jeep’s India line-up is the recently launched Grand Cherokee. The flagship model for the brand offers both practicality and performance with unmatched comfort. Its credentials are no less than the four already mentioned SUVs. Seated in the lap of luxury, its occupants can enjoy the experience of both on and off-road. Good Off-Road and On-Road Ride The true potential of a Jeep car is its capability to tackle any sort of terrain without having to trouble its occupants. An ideal tough terrain tackler, the company’s vehicle stands apart from the crowd with their 4x4 capability. Be it the Jeep Compass Trailhawk, the Meridian or the Wrangler, all three models having a significant hold in their respective segments. No matter what you throw at them whether it is mud, sand, snow, rocky terrain, mountains or forest they will come out with flying colours. This is all possible due to the brilliant 4x4 systems (Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Tech II, and Quadra-Drive II), Selec-Terrain traction management system, and Quadra-Lift air suspension that allow these SUVs to function freely. Further their axle articulation and bumper design allows for better approach and departure angles that helps the vehicle cross any type of an obstacle with much of an adieu. Best Towing Capacity There is no doubt that Jeep manufactures adventure vehicles. The plus point is that the Jeep has the best towing capacity for its SUVs. Whether you want to haul a boat or a bike, Jeep vehicles will meet your requirements. If we talk about the towing capacity of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, it allows 7,200 pounds and its day-to-day functionality will also move you through any weather condition or terrain with utter ease. Talking about the most sought after Jeep Wrangler, then it also has an impressive towing power. The 2023 Wrangler can tow from 2,000 to 3,500 pounds depending on the variant selected.
