Nissan to unveil a new budget MPV on December 18 New-gen Renault Duster to launch on January 26, 2026 Nissan Tekton SUV expected to arrive by June 2026
Renault and Nissan are gearing up for a major comeback in India. After years of limited product updates, both brands are set to launch three all-new models by June 2026. The upcoming line-up will include two SUVs and one MPV, marking their biggest product push in the Indian market in recent years.

Nissan will reveal a new sub-4 metre MPV on December 18, 2025. The MPV has been developed mainly for Indian customers. It is expected to be priced between Rs 5.75 lakh and Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries are likely to start in January 2026.
Triber-Based MPV With Minor Design Changes
The new Nissan MPV will be based on the Renault Triber. While the overall shape will remain similar, Nissan will offer small visual changes. These include redesigned bumpers, a new front grille, different 15-inch alloy wheels, and revised headlamp and tail lamp designs.
Flexible 7-Seater Cabin
Inside, the MPV will see limited updates, mainly in colours and trim. It will come with a 2+3+2 seating layout. The third-row seats will be removable, helping increase boot space when fewer passengers are onboard.
Renault will launch the all-new third-generation Duster in India on January 26, 2026. This will be Renault’s first completely new model in the country in five years. The SUV will feature a tough yet modern exterior design.
Upgraded Interior and Safety Features
The new Duster’s cabin will be much more premium than before. It is expected to offer modern features and a cleaner layout. Higher variants may get Level 2 ADAS for improved safety.
Petrol Engines at Launch, Hybrid Later
Renault is likely to launch the new Duster with 1.0-litre and 1.3-litre turbo petrol engines in February 2026. A hybrid version of the Duster is planned for India by early 2027.
Nissan is also working on a Duster-based SUV called the Tekton. It is expected to launch in June 2026. While it will share the same platform and engines as the Duster, it will get a more aggressive design with connected DRLs, connected tail lights, and a bold model name on the bonnet. The interior and mechanical setup of the Tekton are expected to remain largely the same as the Renault Duster.
