Tata Sierra 2025 to rival Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and more. Price for the top variant of Tata Sierra expected between Rs 14-18 lakh. Tata Sierra 2025 brings modern features, strong performance, and a retro design.
After a two-decade break, Tata Motors has revived the iconic Sierra nameplate with the launch of the all-new Tata Sierra. Positioned between the Harrier and the Curvv, this SUV combines a nostalgic design with modern features, creating a strong presence in the competitive mid-size SUV market. The base variant of the 2025 Sierra is priced at Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom), but the price of the top variants is yet to be revealed. Here's a closer look at the expected rivals and price expectations for the top variant.

Tata Sierra 2025 will compete in a segment filled with popular mid-size SUVs. It will face rivals like the Hyundai Creta, which is priced between Rs 10.73 lakh and Rs 20.20 lakh, and the Kia Seltos, priced between Rs 10.79 lakh and Rs 19.81 lakh. Other competitors include the Maruti Grand Vitara, the Honda Elevate, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, all of which fall in the same price range.
Additionally, the Tata Curvv, another model from Tata Motors, will also compete with the Sierra in terms of design and pricing. While these SUVs offer great value, the Sierra will stand out with its retro-modern design, creating a unique position in the market.
While the price for the base Smart+ variant of the Tata Sierra has been set at Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the pricing for the top variants, like the "Accomplished Plus" trim, is expected to be revealed soon. Considering the competition and the premium features offered in the Sierra, it is likely that the top variants will be priced between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom). This price range will place the Sierra as a strong competitor against its rivals while offering a new design, smart technology, and strong performance.
Tata Sierra 2025 is built on the versatile ARGOS platform, which could support an AWD version in the future. The SUV will come with three engine options: a 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engine producing 118 PS and 260 Nm (with manual transmission) or 280 Nm (with automatic), a 1.5-litre TGDi Hyperion engine delivering 160 PS and 255 Nm paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, and a 1.5-litre NA Revotron engine producing 106 PS and 145 Nm, available with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Inside, the Sierra boasts a premium cabin with a dual-tone beige and grey finish, a panoramic sunroof, and advanced technology. The top variants will feature dual-zone automatic climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, a 10.25-inch HD driver’s display, and a 360-degree camera. Safety features include Level-2 ADAS, while entertainment is powered by a Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos. The Sierra will also offer wireless phone charging, 5G connectivity, and a large touchscreen infotainment system to offer you amazing driving experience.
