Tata Motors is preparing to launch the new Sierra lifestyle SUV on November 25, 2025. While official bookings are yet to be announced, select Tata dealers have started accepting pre-orders for the new Sierra. To be positioned between the Curvv and the Harrier, the Tata Sierra lifestyle SUV will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Victoris.
Tata Motors has already divulged enough details on Sierra’s design and interior via a high-octane TV commercials. Not just the ICE model, Tata has also revealed the Sierra EV on its social media platforms. The homegrown UV maker will initially launch the ICE-powered version of the SUV, while the EV version is expected to arrive sometime in December or January 2026.

The big news is that the Tata Sierra will mark the debut of two new petrol engines, including a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated and a 1.5-litre, direct-injection turbo unit. The NA unit is expected to produce around 120hp and around 140Nm of torque, and is likely to be paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The direct-injection unit is reportedly to produce about 170hp and 280Nm of torque. Transmission choices likely to include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The diesel version of the Sierra is likely to get the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo unit that produces 118hp and 260Nm of torque. Both 6MT and 7-speed DCT are likely on offer. Tata could also utilise the 2.0L turbo diesel engine in the higher-spec variants.
The new Tata Sierra ICE version is expected to carry an aggressive price tag. We expect the new model to cost somewhere around Rs 11 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom. The new Sierra will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Victoris and Grand Vitara.
