Maruti Suzuki’s parent company Suzuki cars recently unveiled the next-gen Swift concept at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. The new model gives a good look at what to expect from the new Maruti Suzuki Swift that is expected to hit the Indian market sometime next year.
The concept has revealed some of its new design elements along with an updated interior layout. Have a look at all the major changes Maruti Suzuki has made on its new Swift.

Looking at the concept model, it seems like Maruti Suzuki will provide new elements to the upcoming Swift. From the front, the grille will get a new design along with sweptback headlamps with L-shaped DRLs. The new model will also flaunt its floating roof design with a blackened C-Pillar. The side profile features longer and stronger shoulder lines.
Unlike the outgoing model, the new-gen Swift will get both door handles on the sides. Apart from this, the rear profile is provided with angular taillights and reprofiled bumpers.

On the inside, the fourth-gen Swift will feature a similar interior to the modern Maruti Suzuki cars, i.e., Baleno and Fronx. It will feature a dual-tone black/white interior layout, flat bottom, steering wheels, analogue dials, and toggle switches for climate controls. Apart from this, the hatchback will come equipped with a new 9.0-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system which will be compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
As far as safety is concerned, the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift will come equipped with multiple airbags, Reverse Parking Camera, Electronic Stability Control, ABS with EBD, and others. Media reports also suggest that the car might get an ADAS suite that will include features like Automatic High Beam Assist, Lane Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and others.
Maruti Suzuki has not revealed the powertrain details for the upcoming Swift. However, the reports suggest that the new version of Swift might receive a hybrid unit as the automaker is focused on delivering a high-efficiency engine. Reports also suggest that the new Swift will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol unit that can produce 89 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties could be handled by a 5-speed manual or an AMT.
