If Baojun Yep Plus is introduced as a new MG EV for India, it is likely to use the same battery pack. The global-specific model uses a 28 kWh battery pack that can help the vehicle to travel up to 431 kms on a single full charge.
In addition, the SUV uses an electric motor mounted on the rear axle. This can generate a maximum power output of 68 bhp with 140 Nm of peak torque. Its top speed stands at 150 kmph. The brand is likely to launch its new EV in India around the festive season later this year, likely towards the end of 2024. While an exact date is yet to be confirmed by the company, it is expected to be announced once the new MG electric car's name is finalized.
