VinFast plans to launch 3 new electric cars in India in 2026. The Limo Green MPV, VF3, and VF5 will offer more EV options for Indian buyers. VinFast aims to for both family and city-focused electric vehicle needs.
VinFast, a popular electric vehicle (EV) brand from Vietnam, is planning to bring three new electric cars to India in 2026. After launching the VF6 and VF7 SUVs last year, the company wants to offer more options, including affordable city EVs and family-friendly electric cars.

The first model set to arrive is the VinFast Limo Green, a three-row electric MPV designed for families and businesses. It’s expected to launch in the first quarter of 2026, with an estimated price of Rs 18-20 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Limo Green will have a 60.1kWh battery and a 201bhp motor, offering a range of around 450km on a single charge. The design will feature VinFast’s signature V-shaped lights and a clean, modern look. The interior will focus on practicality, with a large touchscreen at the center. This will be VinFast's first three-row electric vehicle in India, making it suitable for both private buyers and fleet operators.
Next, VinFast will launch the VF3, a compact city EV that is perfect for daily commutes. Expected in the first half of 2026, the VF3 will be priced between Rs 8-10 lakh, competing with cars like the MG Comet.
Despite its small size, the VF3 will be practical with an 18.6kWh battery that gives a range of over 200km on a full charge. The VF3 will have a higher ground clearance of 191mm, making it better suited for Indian roads. With its light body and 43.5bhp power output, the VF3 will handle city traffic with ease.
Finally, VinFast is considering bringing the VF5 to India. This compact EV is already available in Vietnam and Indonesia, and it comes with two battery options. The first is a 29.6kWh battery with a 95bhp motor (268km range), and the second is a 37.23kWh battery with a 136bhp motor (326km range).
The VF5’s size makes it a great option for India. It’s 3,967mm long, which is longer than the Tata Punch EV, offering more space inside, even though it is a bit narrower. The VF5’s 2,514mm wheelbase provides a roomy cabin. The interior features an 8-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, leatherette upholstery, keyless entry, and a PM2.5 air filtration system.
