The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift is just around the corner, with its unveiling set for January 20. This mid-life update will bring exciting changes in features and design, while keeping the popular engine options. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Kushaq.

Skoda India has released a teaser for the upcoming Kushaq facelift, giving us a sneak peek at the new design. The teaser shows updates like refreshed headlights, a new front grille, and some changes to the rear. These updates are sure to make the Kushaq even more attractive when it arrives.

The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift will sport a refreshed look, with some key design updates. The SUV will feature new headlights and DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), linked by segmented light elements. The front grille gets a new design, along with an angular silver trim on the bumper. The iconic winged-arrow logo will remain on the bonnet, while the rear of the vehicle will showcase an illuminated 'SKODA' wordmark, flanked by individual lights. These changes give the Kushaq a more modern, premium appearance.
While the interior has not been fully revealed, spy images suggest some exciting updates. The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift is expected to include a panoramic sunroof on higher trims, providing a more luxurious feel.
Additionally, the facelifted Kushaq may feature a segment-first rear-seat massage function, making long journeys more comfortable. The digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen will likely get new graphics, while the 1.5 TSI variants will be equipped with rear disc brakes. The air-conditioning system is also expected to be improved for better efficiency and comfort.
Safety is a top priority for the 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift. Skoda will introduce Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), offering features like lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. These safety features will be introduced across Skoda’s models based on the MQB-A0-IN platform. A 360-degree camera is also expected to be added to enhance the vehicle’s safety. This will bring the Kushaq in line with competitors like the Tata Sierra, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Victoris, which already offer ADAS.

The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift will continue to offer the same engine options as the current model. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 115hp and 178Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine offers 150hp and 250Nm of torque. The gearbox options will remain the same at launch, with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic for the 1.0-litre engine, and a 7-speed DSG for the 1.5-litre engine.
However, Skoda plans to introduce a new 8-speed torque converter automatic for the 1.0-litre engine at a later stage. This new transmission will improve fuel efficiency by providing smoother gear shifts and reducing fuel wastage. It will also help Skoda meet the stricter CAFE 3 fuel efficiency norms.
Skoda Kushaq facelift is expected to be launched shortly after its unveiling on January 20, 2026. While the exact pricing has not yet been confirmed, it is expected to remain competitive with its rivals. Stay tuned for more updates on the Skoda Kushaq facelift launch date and price details.
