The much-anticipated Mahindra XUV 7XO will finally go on sale in our market on January 5, 2026. It is essentially the facelifted version of the XUV 700, which has been caught testing numerous times while testing. We have seen a similar strategy earlier with XUV 300 becoming Mahindra XUV 3XO in the facelift avatar. Mahindra has already released multiple teasers, revealing its key features and design changes.
Interested buyers can book the new Mahindra XUV 7XO online or at authorised Mahindra dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000. The current XUV 700 is available in the price bracket of Rs 13.66 lakh to Rs 23.71 lakh, ex-showroom, Pan-India. It is expected that the new XUV 7XO will receive a marginal price hike.
The base variant of the Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to carry similar price tag as the existing model, which is available at Rs 13.66 lakh, ex-showroom. However, the top-end AX7L 7-seater diesel automatic with AWD setup is expected to receive a decent price hike. This variant will be equipped with more premium features, including a triple-screen setup, a 540-degree camera, 16-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos.
We expect the new Mahindra XUV 7XO top-end variant is expected to be priced around Rs 25 lakh - Rs 25.5 lakh, ex-showroom. So, the new range could start at around Rs 13.66-14 lakh, and goes up to Rs 25.5 lakh, ex-showroom.

The new XUV 7XO will receive cosmetic design changes in-line with the new XEV 9e. It will have a new front grille, boomerang-shaped daytime running lights, new trapezoidal-shaped LED lights and a new front bumper. The 7-seater SUV will have new tail-lamps with hexagonal detailing, which are connected by a full-width light bar, new alloy wheels and a revised rear bumper.

The new XUV 7XO will be the brand’s first ICE-powered SUV to offer a triple screen dashboard, featuring a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument console and a 12.3-inch co-occupant entertainment screen. It will come with 16-speaker Harman Kardon Sound System with Dolby Atmos, auto dimming IRVM, BYOID feature for rear seat entertainment, a 540 degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, a Boss mode function, and an upgraded LEVEL-2 ADAS tech.
The Mahindra XUV 7XO will be powered by the same set of powertrains, including a 200bhp, 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre, turbo diesel. The diesel engine offers two states of tunes - 155bhp and 185bhp. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The AWD (all-wheel-drive) system will continue to be offered with the diesel engine.
