Maruti’s first electric SUV to debut on December 2. Over 500 km range and 7 airbags confirmed. Set to rival Hyundai Creta Electric in India.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is all set to make its India debut on December 2, 2025. Already on sale in European markets, the e Vitara will be Maruti Suzuki’s first fully-electric SUV for India. It will rival the upcoming Hyundai Creta Electric and is expected to play a big role in Maruti’s EV strategy.
Here are the major highlights of the new Maruti e Vitara:
Maruti e Vitara is based on a new electric platform designed for better efficiency and comfort. It will have a flat floor, offering more legroom and equal under-thigh support for all three rear passengers. The cabin will easily accommodate five adults in comfort.

A 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat will allow precise control over lumbar support, recline, height, and slide position. The 40:20:40-split rear seat design adds flexibility, letting users fold part of the seat to fit long items like furniture or adventure gear. Rear seats will also recline and slide, enhancing passenger comfort.
The e Vitara will use a rear multi-link suspension, a setup known for improving stability and comfort. This will make the SUV smoother to drive compared to typical torsion beam setups seen on other Maruti models.
Maruti e Vitara will be the brand’s first model to feature seven airbags, including a driver’s knee airbag. This will add to the vehicle’s strong safety credentials, alongside other advanced driver assistance features.
Highlights include 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The SUV will also feature Level 2 ADAS for more safety and convenience.
The e Vitara will be available in two versions: a standard-range FWD and a long-range FWD. The top-spec model is expected to offer over 500 km of range on a single charge, making it suitable for both city drives and long trips.
While the Maruti e-Vitara India price has not been confirmed yet, it is expected to be positioned close to rivals like the Hyundai Creta Electric and Tata Curvv EV.
