MG Motor India has launched the much-awaited Cyberster, its first electric sports car, in the Indian market. The EV roadster is priced from Rs 74.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be available through MG Select dealerships. Bookings began in March with a token amount of Rs 51,000, and deliveries are set to commence on August 10 onwards.
Note: Customers who had pre-booked the MG Cyberster will get it at a special price of Rs 72.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG Cyberster boasts a futuristic and sporty design that stands out on Indian roads. Key exterior highlights include:
- 20-inch alloy wheels (AWD variant)
- Retractable soft-top roof
- Arrowhead-style LED DRLs
- Full-width connected rear LED light bar
- Active rear spoiler for improved aerodynamics
It is available in four exterior colour choices - Flare Red, Nuclear Yellow, Andes Grey, and Modern Beige.
Inside, the Cyberster offers a premium and high-tech experience with a driver-focused layout. Notable features include:
- Triple-screen dashboard setup
- AR-based Head-Up Display (HUD)
- AI-powered voice assistant
- BOSE 8-speaker sound system
- Ambient lighting
- Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
- Heated and ventilated bucket seats
- Vegan leather upholstery with contrast stitching
Safety is a top priority in the Cyberster, equipped with multiple active and passive safety features:
- 6 airbags
- Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
- Traction Control
- Hill Hold and Descent Control
- 360-degree camera system
- Level 2 ADAS, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), and more
The India-spec Cyberster comes as a fully imported model and features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain. Performance highlights:
- 510 bhp and 725 Nm of torque
- 0-100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds
- 77 kWh battery with 580 km (CLTC-certified) driving range
