Nissan has officially confirmed the name of its upcoming compact MPV for India. Called the New Gravite, this Nissan 7 seater MPV will be launched in early 2026. The model will strengthen Nissan’s presence in the affordable family car segment and directly target buyers looking for a practical 7 seater MPV.

The Nissan Gravite launch is planned in stages. The MPV will make its public debut in January 2026, while prices will be announced in March 2026. Once launched, the Nissan Gravite 2026 will sit below the Magnite in the brand’s India line-up.
This New Nissan MPV will compete with models like the Renault Triber and is aimed at budget-conscious buyers who need three-row seating.
The 2026 Nissan Gravite is based on the Renault Triber and uses the same CMF-A+ platform. It will carry over the same engine and gearbox options as well. Nissan has confirmed that the MPV will stay under four metres in length, helping it remain affordable.
The 2026 Gravite is expected to offer flexible seating and removable third-row seats, similar to the Triber.

The New Gravite keeps the Triber’s overall shape but adds Nissan-specific design elements. Teaser images show a redesigned front bumper, a new grille and fresh alloy wheels.
The headlamps are similar in shape but get updated lighting elements. At the rear, the MPV features a revised bumper, new tail-lamp signatures and the Gravite name clearly displayed on the tailgate. Overall, the Nissan Gravite 2026 gets a more distinct Nissan identity.
While the interior is yet to be revealed, the cabin layout will be similar to the Triber. Nissan is expected to use its own colour theme and feature packaging to set it apart.
Expected features include an 8-inch touchscreen, semi-digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, push-button start and AC vents for all three rows. Safety features may include six airbags, parking sensors, hill-start assist, TPMS and a rear-view camera.
The Nissan 7 seater MPV is expected to use a 1.0-litre petrol engine producing 76hp and 95Nm. Gearbox options will include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
Nissan may also introduce a CNG version later, possibly as a dealer-level option.
With the Nissan Gravite launch confirmed, the brand is clearly focusing on the mass-market MPV space. The Nissan Gravite 2026 will appeal to buyers looking for an affordable, practical and compact 7 seater MPV with a trusted petrol engine and flexible seating.
