Nissan is stepping up its India product strategy with a brand-new SUV. Alongside the recently confirmed Gravite MPV, the company has now confirmed the Nissan Tekton, a new compact SUV that will be officially revealed in February 2026. The Nissan Tekton India reveal will mark an important step in Nissan’s comeback plans for the Indian market.

Nissan Tekton launch is scheduled in phases. The SUV will see its full reveal in February 2026, while the Nissan Tekton India launch is expected by mid-2026. Once launched, the Tekton will sit between the Magnite and the X-Trail in Nissan’s SUV line-up.

The 2026 Tekton SUV takes design inspiration from the brand’s flagship Patrol. It gets a boxy shape, a bold front grille and C-shaped LED lighting signatures that give it a strong road presence.
One unique detail is the “Double-C” shaped accent on the front doors, which features a subtle mountain range design inspired by the Himalayas. This design element highlights that the Tekton has been developed with the Indian market in mind.

The Tekton will be based on the CMF-B modular platform from the Renault-Nissan alliance. This is the same platform that will underpin the next-generation Renault Duster.
In terms of size, the SUV is expected to be around 4.3 metres long with a wheelbase of about 2.6 metres. This should translate into good cabin space and comfort for passengers.
The Nissan Tekton features list is expected to be competitive for the segment. Inside, the SUV will get a layered dashboard with soft-touch materials. Key highlights may include a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control and ventilated front seats.
Higher variants could also offer a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS, making the Tekton one of the more tech-loaded SUVs in its class.
The Tekton is likely to be offered with multiple petrol engine options. These may include a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine with manual and dual-clutch automatic gearbox options. Nissan could also introduce a smaller petrol or mild-hybrid engine.
A full hybrid version is reportedly under consideration, but it may arrive later, possibly in 2027.
The Nissan Tekton price is expected to be competitive in the midsize SUV segment. It will take on popular rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and Honda Elevate.
The Tekton will be manufactured at Nissan’s Chennai plant and will be sold in India as well as exported to other global markets.
