Tata Motors will launch the new Sierra lifestyle SUV on November 25, 2025. The company will initially launch the ICE-powered Sierra, while the Tata Sierra EV will launch in January 2026. The electric SUV is currently going through last phase of testing, and the latest spy shots suggest that the EV will have a multi-link rear suspension setup.
The Tata Sierra EV will be fitted with a multi-link rear suspension setup, which is similar to the one offered in the Harrier EV. This suspension setup enables rear wheels to move independently, and improves the overall driving experience on rough roads. The multi-link suspension setup improves the overall stability during cornering, quick lane changes and at high speeds.

Tata Motors is yet to release the official powertrain details of the new Sierra EV. It is expected to be offered with two battery choices - 65kWh and 75kWh; both powers the Tata Harrier EV. Few media reports suggest that the electric lifestyle SUV could be offered with a 55kWh and a 65kWh battery packs.
The Tata Sierra EV will be a front-wheel-drive SUV, featuring a front-axle-mounted electric motor. However, the top-spec model could get a dual-motor AWD setup. We expect the new Sierra electric to offer a realistic range of around 450-500km in a single charge.
The electric lifestyle SUV will share most of its features with the Sierra ICE. It will have cosmetic EV-specific design changes, including a blanked-off front grille and new set of aero-optimised wheels. The electric SUV will come with a triple screen dashboard comprising a centrally-mounted infotainment unit, a digital instrument panel and a co-occupant entertainment screen.
In terms of features, the Tata Sierra EV will have wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated and powered front seats, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, premium JBL sound system, multi-colour ambient lighting, V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) functions, etc. The electric SUV will be fitted with multiple airbags, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, 360-degree surround view camera, front and rear parking sensors, LEVEL 2 ADAS and others.
