Tata Motors has released multiple teasers of the new-gen Sierra lifestyle SUV ahead of its official launch on November 25, 2025. The iconic SUV will make a comeback after 22 years, as the last generation SUV was discontinued in 2003. The new Tata Sierra will be positioned between the Curvv and Harrier in Tata’s SUV line-up.

The Sierra lifestyle SUV will come in both ICE and EV powertrain options. Its ICE model will be based on a front-wheel-drive platform, while the Sierra EV will use the GEN 2, Acti.ev+ architecture. The SUV gets prominent roof rails, full-width LED front and rear light bars, and dual-tone 19-inch alloys. The teasers reveal that SUV gets silver finished scuff plates, and ‘SIERRA’ branding can be seen on the front grille and boot. Other design highlights include pop-out door handles and blacked-out D pillars.
The electric version will have EV-specific design changes, such as blanked-off front fascia and EV branding on the tailgate. It will have a slightly different aero-optimised wheels.
The new Sierra will be the first Tata car to feature triple screen dashboard comprising an infotainment unit, a digital instrument panel and a co-occupant entertainment screen. It comes with a dual-tone dashboard and two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo.
The SUV will have ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, rear-window sunblinds, an auto-dimming IRVM, dual-zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, surround-view camera, LEVEL-2 ADAS and others.
The new Tata Sierra ICE model is likely to get a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel engine. The SUV could also get a new 1.5L NA petrol engine. The electric version is likely to be offered with a 65kWh battery pack. Its lower-spec model could get a 55kWh battery.
