Tata Motors has released multiple teasers of the new-gen Sierra lifestyle SUV ahead of its official launch on November 25, 2025. The iconic SUV will make a comeback after 22 years, as the last generation SUV was discontinued in 2003. The new Tata Sierra will be positioned between the Curvv and Harrier in Tata’s SUV line-up.

The Sierra lifestyle SUV will come in both ICE and EV powertrain options. Its ICE model will be based on a front-wheel-drive platform, while the Sierra EV will use the GEN 2, Acti.ev+ architecture. Tata Motors will first launch the Sierra ICE on November 25, 2025. Its EV version is expected to be revealed in December 2025, and the launch is expected in Q1, 2026.
Tata Motors has released couple of teasers revealing key details of the Sierra. It is confirmed that the production-ready model looks exactly similar to the near-production concept debuted at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. The SUV retains the OG design elements such as high-set bonnet, thick B-pillars, rear-side window wrapped around the roof, squared-off front fascia, and a flatter square-shaped rear.

The SUV gets prominent roof rails, full-width LED front and rear light bars, and dual-tone 19-inch alloys. The teasers reveal that SUV gets silver finished scuff plates, and ‘SIERRA’ branding can be seen on the front grille and boot. Other design highlights include pop-out door handles and blacked-out D pillars.
The electric version will have EV-specific design changes, such as blanked-off front fascia and EV branding on the tailgate. It will have a slightly different aero-optimised wheels.
The new Sierra will be the first Tata car to feature triple screen dashboard comprising an infotainment unit, a digital instrument panel and a co-occupant entertainment screen. It comes with a dual-tone dashboard and two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo.
The SUV will have ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, rear-window sunblinds, an auto-dimming IRVM, dual-zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, surround-view camera, LEVEL-2 ADAS and others.
The new Tata Sierra ICE model is likely to get a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel engine. The SUV could also get a new 1.5L NA petrol engine. The electric version is likely to be offered with a 65kWh battery pack. Its lower-spec model could get a 55kWh battery.
Sierra ICE - Rs 11 lakh - 20 lakh
Sierra EV - Rs 18 lakh - 25 lakh
Competition - Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Victoris, Grand Vitara and others.
