BYD (Build Your Dreams) is one of the latest entrants in the Indian automobile market. This is also the first time that the brand is making an appearance at the biggest Auto Show in the country. Check out the cars you can see at hall no 5 at the 2023 Auto Expo.

The Chinese automaker is showcasing its recently-launched Atto 3 electric SUV with a new Forest Green colour. Priced at Rs 34.49 lakh (ex-showroom), only 1200 units of the new colour variant will be sold in India. Except for the new paint job, the EV looks the same with its sporty front-end featuring all-LED headlights and a slim chrome band right in the middle. The side profile gets muscular wheel arches while the rear-end provides connected LED taillights and a roof spoiler.

Moving to the interior, the Atto 3’s minimalistic dashboard is dominated by a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that can rotate at the touch of a button. Other notable features include a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, powered front seats, ambient lighting, a dash cam, and more. It also offers ADAS tech such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane-Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Front & Rear Collision Warning.

The Atto 3 uses a 60.48 kWh battery pack that powers a single front-axle mounted electric motor which makes 201 bhp with 310 Nm of peak torque. The automaker claims a range of 521 kms on a full charge. The battery can be recharged from 0 to 80 percent in just 50 minutes using an 80 kW fast charger.

BYD is exhibiting the new Seal electric sedan for the first time in India. The company has confirmed that it would be launching this model around the end of this year. Inspired by the Ocean X Concept, the four-door EV features a coupe-like design with angular headlamps, LED DRLs, flush fitting door-handles, and a glass roof.

The electric sedan’s cabin comes equipped with a host of features like a 15.6-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, auto climate control, drive modes, heated windscreen, HUD (Head Up Display), ambient lighting, and more.

The BYD Seal can be specced with either a 61.4 kWh or an 82.5 kWh battery pack which is said to deliver a claimed range of 550 kms and 700 kms, respectively. It is expected to be available in both single-motor and dual-motor variants.
