Here are the seven mass-market cars and SUVs that get a stealthier-looking matte shade straight from the factory:-
Ex-showroom: Rs 13.89 - 14.89 Lakh
The X-Line trims in Kia’s line-up are designed to appeal to customers often with its distinctive styling elements and additional features over the standard model, and the Kia Sonet X-Line is no different.
Based on the GTX+ variant, the Kia Sonet X-Line comes wrapped in an exclusive Matte Graphite colour scheme with a glossy black treatment for the grille, along with the piano black diamond knurling pattern. It also receives a high gloss black treatment for the diamond-cut alloy wheels and piano black skid plates with Dark Hyper Metal accents.
Inside, it flaunts Xclusive Splendid Sage interior schemes, a black headliner, leatherette seats with orange stitching, and an X-Line logo on the steering and seat backrest, giving it a premium feel.
The new Kia Sonet X-Line is offered with a 1.0-litre T-GDi turbo-petrol (120bhp/172Nm) with 7-speed DCT and 1.5-litre diesel mill (115bhp/250Nm) paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Positioned between the Style and Monte Carlo trims, the Skoda Kushaq Matte Edition is available with both 1.0-litre TSI (115bhp/178Nm) and 1.5-litre TSI (150bhp/250Nm) turbocharged petrol engine options, offered with both manual and automatic transmission choices. It commands a premium of Rs 40,000 over the regular Style variant. For this added premium, it gets a new matte-finished Carbon Steel Grey exterior paint scheme with blacked-out finish on the side mirrors, door handles and spoiler.

Like the Kushaq, the Skoda Slavia sedan also offers a matte treatment for buyers seeking a visually distinct choice. It is also available with both 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engines of the sedan with all their respective transmission options.
Ex-showroom: Rs. 18.95 - 19.45 Lakh

Kia Carens is the latest on the list to receive a matte colour scheme. It is based on the MPV’s range-topping Luxury Line 6-seater variant and comes with a premium of Rs 55,000 over the standard model. For this additional cost, the Carens X-Line features an exclusive Matte Graphite hue with a sheen black finish on the grille, bumpers, side mirrors, skid plates and side door garnishes. It also flaunts a silver-finished brake callipers for added appeal. Inside, it boasts Splendid Sage Green and Black upholstery with contrasting orange stitching.
Regarding features, the new Kia Carens X-Line also comes equipped with a rear-seat entertainment package that supports screen mirroring, podcasts, and other entertainment apps. It can also be controlled via a mobile app for added convenience.
Speaking of the powertrain options, this matte edition of the Kia Carens is limited to the automatic variants of the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and diesel engine options.
Ex-showroom Price: Rs 18.20 - 19.76Lakh (Taigun GT Edge Matte), Rs 17.62 - 19.29 Lakh (Virtus GT Edge Matte)

A few months back, Volkswagen launched the GT Plus Edge Limited Collection variants of the Taigun SUV and Virtus sedan, with Carbon Steel exterior paint in a matte finish, complemented by chrome highlights, as well as the red accents on the sides and both bumpers.

The new Volkswagen Taigun and the Volkswagen Virtus GT-Edge Edition are offered only on the top-end GT trims that utilise the 150bhp 1.5-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
Ex-showroom: Rs 19.60 - 20.30 Lakh

Similar to the Sonet, the Kia Seltos X-Line also gets a Matte Black exterior finish, along with blacked-out front fascia and ORVMs. Inside, the X-Line receives a black and sage green cabin theme, along with an 8-inch heads-up display over the GT trim.
The other notable features of the Kia Seltos X-Line trim include 19-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlamps and wipers, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone charger, and dual-integrated displays one for the touchscreen infotainment and the other for the digital driver’s display. Its safety kit includes six airbags, an electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a level-2 ADAS suite with features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and front collision warning.
Kia offers the Seltos X-Line with the 160PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 116PS 1.5-litre diesel engines, with automatic transmissions only.
