Toyota has recently shared its new teaser of the upcoming Innova Hycross which is slated to be unveiled on 25 November in India. The new teaser gives a secret look at the exterior design of the refreshed SUV. With a refreshed exterior look, the Toyota Innova Hycross is also going to offer more space, more comfort, and great performance. Moreover, its strong hybrid version is expected to deliver fuel efficiency in the range of 23-23 kpl.

From the outside, the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross is expected to exude a glamorous and tough look with SUV-like styling. The front end will see the largest grille on an Innova yet along with new muscular bumper design. Towards the side we are expected to see a new 18-inch alloy wheel design. The MPV is also set to feature an extended wheelbase with the wheels pushed to the corners and shorter overhangs. Towards the rear, we expect the company to make a 3D structural tailgate. All round the car will feature LED lighting adding premiumness to the vehicle. Besides, the new iteration of the Toyota Innova will be based on a new TGNA-C front wheel drive monocoque architecture.

The cabin of the new Innova Hycross is likely to get renewed and will have a fresh dashboard layout with a floating 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a smaller 7-inch TFT MID. Moreover, the Innova Hycross will get some premium features including a large panoramic sunroof, connected car technology, digital auto AC, electronic parking brake, a new design for the multi-functional steering wheel, ambient lighting, and more. For added premiumness, the cabin will be covered in all-black leather upholstery. In the middle row, the car is expected to feature electronic adjustment for the captain seats along with a leg-rest.

For enhanced safety, we expect the automaker to introduce Toyota’s Safety Sense 3.0 suite that offers level 2 ADAS functionality like lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, 360-degree parking camera, lane departure warning and more. These new features are expected to make the upcoming Innova’s cabin more premium and safer.

Toyota has shifted its focus to full hybrid cars in India and will dump the diesel engine entirely. With its petrol-electric hybrid powertrain, the Hycross is replacing the 2.4-litre four-cylinder diesel engine of Crysta. The new is likely to utilise the 2.0-litre 5th generation hybrid engine mated to an e-CVT gearbox. The car is expected to produce around 170 bhp of combined power output. This powertrain option is expected to offer up to 25 percent better performance and up to 50 percent reduction in pollution levels.

Expected to be up to 50 percent more efficient than the outgoing Innova Crysta, the all-new Innova Hycross is imagined to return a class-leading fuel efficiency of around 20-23 kmpl. This increased efficiency and reduced pollution will help the company comply better with the upcoming BSVI phase II emission norms.
The Toyota Innova Hycross will be launched in India on 25 November in India, however, in Indonesia, it will be unveiled on 21 November as Innova Zenix. Prices are likely to be announced at Auto Expo 2023 while the deliveries are expected to begin in mid-2023. The current speculated price range of the Innova Hycross is between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 33 lakh (ex-showroom).
