For most people the first image of a Honda car is either the City, Civic or the Accord. Synonymous with the sedan segment, we currently have three Honda car models in this category. Targeted at different segments, these models offer variety to the customer.
The least expensive of this lot is the Honda Amaze (compact sedan), which is priced at Rs 6.63 lakh (ex-showroom). This four-wheeler offers sufficient room for 5 in comparison to most compact SUVs available at this price point. Some of the highlight features of the Amaze include a premium cabin finished in black and beige theme, large boot (420 litres), 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Moving up the ladder we have different generations of the company’s most popular sedan, the City. Priced at Rs 9.49 lakh (ex-showroom), City 4th generation model offers customers a larger and more luxurious cabin all at a relatively inexpensive premium. The 4th generation City gets premium upholstery, three ring combimetre and an advanced touch panel for A/C control. This car can be a perfect choice for anyone looking for a proper sedan with striking exterior design.
At the top of the charts is the flagship product of Honda car’s range in India. The Honda City 5th generation is among the most premium cars one can buy at a budget under Rs 20 lakh. The four-wheeler offers customers with a luxurious cabin that is finished in sophisticated and high-quality soft touch materials. On the inside we are greeted by a large 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a part digital instrument cluster with G-Force metre and a first in class Home-2-Car connectivity with Amazon Alexa integration. In addition, the company also introduced the 2022 Honda City e:HEV which is the first mainstream strong hybrid model in the country. This car returns a claimed fuel economy of 27.7 kmpl.
