The brand’s portfolio in India currently consists of 12 models that are closely related in purpose and price, making choosing the right car a tedious task. So to help you in this decision making process we have brought a quick guide for choosing the right Hyundai Car.
Hyundai India is currently the 2nd largest car brand in the country and holds a 15 percent market share. Hyundai car line-up consists of hatchbacks, sedans and SUVs with prices ranging from as low as Rs 4.9 lakh (ex-showroom) and going all the way up to Rs 35.54 lakh (ex-showroom). Selecting the right car depends on a lot of factors like present need, budget and personal preference.
Budget serves as one of the most important criterion in choosing the right car. For example, if you have a budget of around Rs 10 lakh, then you are offered with a host of options from hatchbacks to compact SUVs and sedans. Now let’s have a glance at the car models in Hyundai’s line-up based on price and body type:-

Hyundai car model range starts with the entry-level hatchback, the Santro. Priced between Rs 4.9 lakh and Rs 6.4 lakh (ex-showroom), this car will be a perfect choice for any firs-time car buyers. The Hyundai Santro is available with petrol and CNG powertrain options mated to either a manual or an automatic transmission option. But if you stretch your budget a bit, then you can opt for the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS which is available at Rs 5.39 lakh (ex-showroom). This Hyundai car offers a better in-cabin experience and can be your ideal city and highway car on a budget.
Going further up the ladder, we have the Hyundai Aura sedan which is priced from Rs 6.09 lakh (ex-showroom). This Hyundai car model is offered with a petrol, diesel and CNG powertrain option. The highlight of this Hyundai sedan is its long feature list and the massive 402 litres of boot space which is a boon during your weekend trips.
Next up is the premium budget segment. The first car here is the Hyundai i20 hatchback. An all-rounder, this Hyundai car model offers a feature-laden premium cabin along with ample space, bundled in an easy-to-drive city-friendly package. The car is available with the choice of petrol and diesel engine option and is also offered in a sportier i20 N-Line guise as well.

Done with the low slung models, next up are the SUVs. Starting at Rs 7.53 lakh (ex-showroom), the 2022 Venue is the cheapest SUV in Hyundai car’s line-up and offers a comfortable sitting for five along with a long features list. Above the compact SUV, sits India’s best-selling SUV, the Hyundai Creta.
