Tata Motors is preparing to launch a facelifted version of its popular Altroz premium hatchback. The 2025 Altroz marks the first major update since the model’s launch five years ago. While Tata has introduced several new variants over the years, this refresh is expected to bring significant design and feature upgrades to maintain its position in the competitive hatchback segment.
Here is what we can expect from the new Tata Altroz:
Tata Motors has been actively testing the new Altroz on the roads, showcasing its refreshed design beneath the test mule’s camouflage. The latest spy shots reveal several notable updates, with the most prominent being the repositioned DRLs, now placed higher and wider, replacing the lower bumper-mounted ones from the current model.
While the signature sweptback headlamp design remains intact, the front bumper has been re-sculpted for a sharper, more aggressive look, complemented by LED fog lamps positioned lower down. The camouflaged alloy wheels hint at a new pattern, and the rear is expected to feature redesigned LED taillamps with a slimmer lighting signature, further elevating the hatchback’s modern aesthetic.
Previous sightings of the 2025 Tata Altroz have revealed a significantly larger touchscreen infotainment system. It is expected to feature the 10.25-inch unit seen in its newer siblings. It remains to be seen whether Tata will equip the facelifted Altroz with premium features like ventilated front seats and a sunroof, which could further elevate its desirability in the segment.
While the facelift will bring design and feature updates, no mechanical changes are expected. The new Altroz will continue with its existing powertrain options, which include a 1.2-litre petrol, a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, available with both manual and automatic transmission choices.
Tata Motors is expected to launch the updated Altroz in the second half of 2025, likely during the festive season. The 2025 Tata Altroz facelift is expected to come with a price hike over the current model, which is priced between Rs 6.65 lakh and Rs 11.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
