Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e, the born electric SUVs from the home-grown automaker, were recently unveiled for the Indian market. Both EVs are all set to make their first public debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show that begins from 17th January. The SUV model lineup is spread across three trims – Pack 1, Pack 2 and Pack 3. Here, we compare the BE 6 coupe SUV’s base and top-end variants based on their features and specifications.
The BE 6 Pack 1 variant has been priced at Rs 18.90 lakh, while the Pack 3 variant comes with a price tag of Rs 26.90 lakh.
The carmaker has confirmed that the BE 6 electric SUV comes with two battery packs – 59kWh and 79kWh, both using lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry. Both batteries are benefited with BYD’s Blade cell technology. The smaller battery pack delivers a claimed power of 228bhp, and an ARAI-certified range of 556km on a single charge. The larger battery pack promises a range of 682km (ARAI-certified) and 550km (WLTP-rated). Its power output stands at 281bhp. Mahindra has not yet revealed whether both battery packs will be available across model lineup or vary by variant.
Mahindra claims that BE 6 can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes via a 175kW DC fast charger. The OEM is also providing a 11.2kW AC and 7.3kW AC chargers as standard (can be brought separately). The 11.2kW AC charger takes 8 hours (79kWh) and 6 hours (59kWh) to fully charge it, while the 7.3kW AC charger takes 11.7 hours (79kWh) and 8.7 hours (59kWh). Customers will get a lifetime warranty on the battery packs of the EV.
This new born electric Mahindra SUV has been packed with numerous new-age features, which are available right from the base variant. The Pack 1 trim comes with a dual 12.3-inch floating screens supporting MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture) software. It has a new two-spoke, flat bottom steering wheel with an illuminated ‘BE’ logo, a wireless charging pad and an aircraft-like drive mode selector.
With the base variant, you also get features such as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, 4 speaker sound system, Alexa voice commands, fast 5G connectivity, automatic AC unit, rear AC vents, multi drive modes, a cooled glovebox, cabin precooling and scheduled charging, two-step rear seat recline, fast USB C- port at the front and rear, tilt & telescopic steering, keyless entry with push button start and stop, height adjustable driver seat, HD rear camera, driver doze off alert, electronic parking brake, tyre pressure monitoring system, all disc brakes, four airbags and cruise control. On the exterior, the Pack 1 offers dual function LED DRLs, auto headlamps, LED projector headlamps, 18-inch wheels with wheel covers, and LED taillamps.
The Mahindra BE 6 Pack 3 variant has several exclusive features on offer such as a Dolby Atmos 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, 5G connectivity with in-built Wi-Fi, OTA updates, dual-zone climate control, 360-degree cameras, ambient lighting, electronic parking brake, a panoramic sunroof with integrated multi-colour lighting patterns and UV protection, powered driver’s seat with memory function, auto park assist, seven airbags and Level 2 ADAS suite.
