Mahindra is preparing to expand its electric SUV lineup in India with two new models – the XEV 7e and the XUV 3XO EV. Both SUVs offer modern looks, smart features, and efficient electric power, designed for different types of buyers.
The Mahindra XEV 7e will be the company’s third electric SUV based on the INGLO platform, sharing many design and powertrain elements with the XEV 9e. The upcoming SUV is expected to feature a triple-screen setup, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, dual-zone climate control, an augmented reality HUD, and a panoramic sunroof. Level 2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera with live recording are also likely to be included. One key highlight of the XEV 7e will be captain’s chairs for the second-row passengers, differentiating it from the XEV 9e.
The SUV is expected to use the same 59kWh and 79kWh LFP battery packs as the XEV 9e. The smaller 59kWh battery will deliver 286bhp with a claimed range of 542km, while the larger 79kWh battery will offer 231bhp with a range of 656km. The actual driving range may vary slightly depending on conditions.

Mahindra is also testing the XUV 3XO EV, an entry-level electric SUV positioned to compete with the Tata Nexon EV. This SUV will be based on the ICE-converted platform that underpins the XUV400 and ICE-powered XUV 3XO.
The XUV 3XO EV is expected to receive minor cosmetic updates such as an EV-specific front grille, revised front and rear bumpers, new aero-optimized wheels, and dedicated EV badging. Most of its features will be similar to the ICE model, including a 10.25-inch digital instrument console, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, and a Harman Kardon sound system. Front parking sensors, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and Level 2 ADAS are likely to be included as well.
The electric SUV is expected to come with a 35kWh battery pack, offering a range of around 400km on a single charge. Details about the motor are yet to be revealed.
