Mahindra BE 07 Clearest Look Yet at Exterior Design in Latest Spy Shots

Mahindra is actively testing two of its highly-awaited upcoming SUVs, the Mahindra BE 7 EV and the Vision S compact SUV. The latest spy images of the BE 7 gives us the clearest look at exterior design. In fact, the spotted model appears wearing the production-ready body panels.

Mahindra BE 7 Exterior Design

The spotted model was heavily covered in thick cloth, but the BE 07’s design is clearly visible. It carries the traditional SUV profile, unlike BE 6 and XEV 9e carrying Coupe-SUV styling. Upfront is a slim LED daytime running lamps similar to the C-shaped units available with the BE 6. The vertically stacked headlights are positioned beneath the daytime running lamps. It gets the traditional blanked off front grille, while the lower bumper has air inlets to cool the internal components. Also visible are the two unique vents on the lower bumper, which could house the fog lamps.

We reported earlier that the Mahindra BE 07 will have frameless doors, and latest spy images confirmed the same. It also gets the retractable door handles, which seem inspired from the premium Mercedes-Benz models. The spy images also reveals that the SUV gets prominent classing around the wheel arches and the lower section of the body. The BE 07 comes with flared wheel arches, aero-optimised alloy wheels, powered ORVMs with camera pods for 360-degree surround view camera.

The rear design of the BE 07 SUV looks largely identical to the original concept; however, the spotted model has temporary taillights. Its production model will have rear wiper hidden under the rear spoiler. The SUV gets a striking tailgate and a simpler lower bumper.

Interior Details

Previous spy images confirmed that the Mahindra BE 07 will come with a triple-screen dashboard comprising 12.3-inch displays for infotainment, driver’s instrument cluster and co-occupant entertainment screen. It is likely to get BE 6-like steering wheel with illuminated BE logo, a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, heads-up display, multi-colour ambient lighting, a glass roof with illuminated elements, a wireless phone charger, and others.

The SUV will come with multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Traction Control System, ISOFIX child seats, seat belt reminders, reverse camera as standard. It will also get a 360-degree surround view camera, front parking sensors and LEVEL 2 ADAS tech.

Specifications

The new BE 07 will be based on the INGLO skateboard architecture, which also underpins the BE 6, XEV 9e and the XEV 9s. The electric SUV is expected to share the battery options, 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh, with the latest Mahindra XEV 9S 7-seater electric SUV. The electric SUV is expected to offer a realistic range of over 500km on a single charge.

Launch Timeline

The new Mahindra BE 07 electric SUV is expected to be launched sometime in early 2027. A possible launch around Bharat Mobility Global Expo can’t be ignored. It will take on the likes of the Tata Harrier EV, VinFast VF 7 and BYD Atto 3.
