Mahindra could reveal production-ready BE 7 and Vision S in August BE 7 gets framless doors Both will be launched by early 2027

For years, Mahindra has used mid-August - around Independence Day - to debut its most disruptive future tech and vehicle concepts. This August, Mahindra is expected to officially reveal production-ready or near-production versions of two highly anticipated premium SUVs: the BE 7 (BE.07 Concept based SUV) and the Vision S.

Both SUVs are undergoing real world testings and latest spy shots confirming that they are rapidly moving down the production pipeline.

Mahindra BE 7

Launch - Later this year or early 2027
Competition - Tata Harrier EV
Expected Price - Rs 22 lakh - 28 lakh

To be positioned between the BE 6 and XEV 9e, the Mahindra BE 7 will carry a more conventional, practical and spacious SUV silhouette. The recent test mules reveal that the car is running on production-ready body panels, suggesting that its development is nearing completion.

The Mahindra BE 7 features frameless doors and motorised flush-fitting pop-out door handles. The SUV looks largely identical to the original concept, featuring sharply raked rear windshield. Based on the INGLO born-EV platform, the Mahindra BE 7 will measure around 4.6 meters in length. It is likely to come with 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs, and a real-world range of over 500km. The SUV is also expected to get a dual-motor AWD drivetrain.

Mahindra Vision S

Mahindra Vision S India Launch

Expected Price: Rs 8 lakh - 15 lakh

First showcased as a concept in 2025, the production-spec Vision S has been spied testing in extreme terrains. The new SUV is reportedly to be the smallest member of the Scorpio brand family. It is the first vehicle built on Mahindra’s brand-new NU_IQ architecture. This platform accommodates traditional petrol and diesel engines alongside hybrid and fully electric powertrains.

The SUV will carry a boxy, tall stance with resemblance with Scorpio family looks. It gets a rectangular front grille with vertical slats, circular-shaped LED headlamps, a clamshell bonnet, flared wheel arches, and a signature tailgate-mounted spare wheel. Inside the cabin, the SUV will have a high-set dashboard with vertically stacked AC vents, a 2-spoke steering wheel, a large central touchscreen and physical-touch controls. It is likely to be offered with 1.2L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines. The SUV will also get a hybrid and electric powertrain in future.
