Mahindra & Mahindra is currently the fastest growing EV manufacturer in India, accounting for a 21.2 percent market share in FY2026. Aiming to further boost its EV sales, the carmaker has planned multiple new models based on the INGLO born-electric platform, including the Mahindra BE.07. This new electric SUV will be the production version of the BE.07 concept, which was first unveiled in 2022.
The production-ready Mahindra BE.07 is expected to arrive sometime in 2027. However, the exact official launch details have not been officially announced yet.
With rivals Tata Harrier EV and Vinfast VF7 in its sight, the upcoming BE.07 is estimated to be priced between Rs 25 lakh – Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
The spied test mule features a thick C-pillar and sharply raked front and rear windscreens, closely resembling the original concept. However, it appears to be a toned-down version. The conventional wing mirrors have replaced the cameras seen the concept and the lighting elements also different. Other design highlights include a front bumper with air inlets for cooling, flush door handles, large areo-optimized alloy wheels and C-shaped taillamps.
Dimensionally, the Mahindra BE.07 concept is slightly larger than the BE.05. It measures 4,565mm in length, 1,900mm in width and 1,600mm in height. However, its wheelbase remains identical to the BE.05 at 2,775mm.
Interior details of the production-ready model are not available at the moment. However, the concept showcased a premium, feature-loaded cabin with a massive screen spanning the entire width of the dashboard, touch sensitive controls and a large panoramic sunroof.
The carmaker has also stated that the new Mahindra electric SUVs are designed to offer high battery safety and meet top vehicle safety standards. These EVs feature a structural cage around the passenger cabin, aimed at reducing injuries in case of an accident.
Based on the INGLO EV platform, the BE.07 is likely to borrow the 59kWh and 79kWh LFP Blade battery packs from the Mahindra XEV 9e. Paired with a rear-axle mounted motor, the smaller battery version offers a claimed MIDC range of 542km, while the larger 79kWh battery variant offers up to 656km on a single charge. Performance figures for the BE.07 are expected to be more or less similar to those of the XEV 9e.
When launched, the Mahindra BE.07 electric SUV will go head-to-head against the Tata Harrier EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, BYD Atto 3 and Vinfast VF7.
