Scorpio Lifestyler Launch in 2027 It will be a global model, called Lifestyler To rival Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-MAX

The long-awaited Mahindra’s lifestyle pickup truck has finally made its global debut here in India. Called the Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler, the new pickup truck is essentially the production version of the Global Pik Up Concept that debuted in 2023. It is built on the same ladder-frame chassis that underpins the Scorpio-N. It will be the brand’s global lifestyle pickup, where it will be called the Lifestyler. Mahindra has also announced that the lifestyler will cost less than 19.79 lakh, ex-showroom.

The production-ready Mahindra Lifestyler looks largely identical to the Global Pik Up Concept. The front fascia of the vehicle gets the high-set LED headlamps with L-shaped daytime running light signatures. There is a wide honeycomb-patterned front grille with contrasting accents, while the ‘SCORPIO’ word-mark is placed on the edge of the bonnet, above the grille. The aggressive bumper houses a pronounced skid plate with ‘MAHINDRA’ lettering, a meshed air intake and vertically stacked LED fog lamps.

The Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler comes in a double-cab configuration. It comes with dual-tone alloy wheels wrapped in off-road tyres, a usable roof rails, prominent side body cladding and a strong belt line. At the back, the lifestyle pickup has a long cargo bed, a vertically oriented LED tail-lamps with C-shaped daytime running lamps, flanked by a large ‘MAHINDRA’ lettering.

The cabin of the Scorpio Lifestyler is more upmarket and feature-loaded than the regular SUV sibling. It comes with a portrait-oriented infotainment screen, surrounded by AC vents. There is a climate control panel placed right below the grille. Mahindra has retained the physical controls for many functions. The transmission tunnel has round selector for different drive modes, and multiple physical controls. It comes with a three-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument console.

In terms of features, the Lifestyler gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, terrain modes, and others. The Pickup comes with a dual-tone black and brown interior scheme,

Engine Specifications

Mahindra hasn’t released its engine specifications. We expect the new pickup truck is likely to be powered by a 2.0L turbo petrol and a 2.2L turbo diesel engines. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
