Performance
Both the powertrains offer strong performance. The light steering, responsive engine and good throttle response makes your life easy in city driving. The diesel motor gives good punch and offers good power at every rev band.
The engine gets noisier on pushing the motor hard. However, it is still refined than the standard Scorpio. The diesel version also offers 3 drive modes - Zip, Zap and Zoom. The Zap is the best model to drive, as it offers a good combination of performance as well as efficiency.
The petrol engine is more refined compared to the diesel engine. The gasoline unit is quick and works instantly on every input. The automatic gearbox also works well with this engine. However, the petrol engine lacks efficiency.
Comfort and Convenience
The Scorpio N offers a commanding seating position. The seats are high, which makes getting in and out tough for elderly people. The front seats are comfortable with good under thigh support.
The top-end Mahindra Scorpio N gets an electrically adjustable driver's seat which adds to its comfort. The middle row offers either a bench or captain seat options.
The captain seats are only available in the top variant. These seats are comfortable and offer great back and under thigh support. The bench seats are not comfortable for longer journeys, as they are flat and offer less shoulder space for three adults.
The third-row is not up to the mark. The middle row seats don't slide forward and backwards. The space in the third row is only good for kids.
Mahindra has added two cup holders, a decent sized glovebox and smaller under armrest storage space. Door locks are wide, but placed low on the door, and are not easy to access. The rear door pockets are even smaller than the front. The second row passengers have separate AC vents with blower control, and a type-C charging socket.
