Mahindra Scorpio N

The Mahindra Scorpio N is a mid-size SUV and the second generation model of the popular Mahindra Scorpio SUV in India. The new Scorpio N has been built on an updated ladder-on-frame chassis which provides more space inside the vehicle and reduces body roll, a problem with the previous model.

Mahindra Scorpio N: Exterior

The exterior design of the new Mahindra Scorpio N is a significant up date over the Scorpio Classic model. The all-new bold face features the brand’s signature 6 slat grille with the twin-peak logo in the center. The grille is flanked by new LED headlamp units and covered by a muscular bonnet. Lower down there is a large air dam along with the new Scorpion inspired LED fog lamp housings and a tough looking skid plate.

Moving to the sides, one can clearly see the muscular lines and the large panels of the new Scorpio along with the signature kink in the shoulder line.

Like the front, the side also features scorpion inspired design elements on the window belt line. In addition, the large proportions of the SUV is well complemented by the 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and chunky body cladding.

Towards the rear, the SUV provides signature horizontal swiveling tailgate, vertically stacked tail lamps and a reprofiled bumper. Overall, the exterior design of the new Mahindra Scorpio N is imposing from every angle.

Mahindra Scorpio N: Interior and Features

Interior: The 2023 Mahindra Scorpio N interior design is a breath of fresh air from what we have seen in the previous generation models. The large cabin gets a dual-tone coffee brown and black theme that enhances the luxurious feel on the inside. Gone is the mechanical layout and in comes a new floating center console design that is wrapped in soft touch material and features physical touch buttons for various controls.

Features: 2023 Mahindra Scorpio N gets features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, front & rear cameras, dual-zone climate control, a wireless phone charger and cruise control. The SUV also comes equipped with a single-pane sunroof, a 6-way powered driver seat, and a semi-digital instrument cluster.

Safety: In terms of safety, the Scorpio N gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), hill-assist control, and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).

Mahindra Scorpio N: Price and Variants

Mahindra Scorpio N price in India starts from Rs 13.60 lakh and extends up to Rs 24.54 lakh (ex-showroom). The model is available in 30 variants namely Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, Z8L with a choice of both manual and automatic transmissions.

Mahindra Scorpio N: Engine and Specification

The New Scorpio N is powered by two engine options: a 2.0-litre turbo petrol unit and the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel mill. The petrol engine is capable of generating 200 bhp with 380 Nm torque while the diesel engine is offered in two states of tune; 130 bhp/300 Nm and 172 bhp/379 Nm.

Both powertrain options are mated to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Besides, the Scorpio N gets a rear-wheel-drive setup as standard, while the 172 bhp diesel trim is also available with a four-wheel drive system.

The Mahindra Scorpio N measures 4,662 mm in length, 1,917 mm in width, and 1,857 mm in height having a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. The car gets a large 57-litre fuel tank and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
