Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Launch Timeline, Price and Competition

Scorpio Lifestyler to price less than 19.79 lakh India launch by April 2027

Mahindra has finally revealed the new Scorpio Lifestyler pickup truck in the Indian market. Based on the Global Pik Up Concept debuted in 2023, the new lifestyle pickup will be a global model. In the global markets, the new pickup will be called the Mahindra Lifestyler. The new model also marks the debut of three special editions - Surfer Edition, Trail Edition, and Valley Edition.

Mahindra has confirmed that the new lifestyle pickup truck, the Scorpio Lifestyler will be launched in the Indian market by April 2027. We believe that the new model will be fully revealed in production avatar at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Global Expo.

Mahindra has confirmed that the new Lifestyler base variant will be priced lower than the 19.79 lakh, ex-showroom. Full price list of the new pickup is expected to be released closer to its launch in early 2027. It will come as an affordable alternative to the likes of the Toyota Hilux and the Isuzu D-Max.

Engine Specifications

The new Lifestyler is based on the Scorpio-N’s body-on-frame chassis. It is expected to be offered with the same 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines that powers the Scorpio, Thar and XUV 7XO. While powering the Scorpio-N, the diesel engine produces up to 175hp and the petrol motor offers 203hp of power. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. It will have a go-anywhere character with Mahindra’s 4WD setup and multiple drive modes.

Key Details

The Scorpio Lifestyler is designed at Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS) in Mumbai and developed at Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai. Mahindra has unveiled three different editions of the Lifestyler, called the Valley Edition, Reef Edition and Trail Edition. The Valley Edition is finished in Artemis Grey, while the Reef Edition and Trail Edition are finished in Aquareef and Sahara Beige, respectively.
