Mahindra is updating the Scorpio N with more premium features. Panoramic sunroof and dual digital screens are among the biggest upgrades. The SUV is expected to launch ahead of the festive season.
Mahindra is getting ready to launch the updated 2026 Scorpio N in India ahead of the festive season. While the SUV will continue with the same bold design and powerful engine options, it will receive several new features to make it more premium and better equipped than before.
The Scorpio N has been one of Mahindra's strongest-selling SUVs since its launch in 2022. Now, the 2026 model aims to build on that success with technology and comfort upgrades that buyers have been asking for.
Here's a closer look at the six biggest changes coming to the updated SUV.
One of the biggest updates inside the cabin is a new 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system. The larger display is expected to use the same interface seen on the Mahindra Thar Roxx, offering a more modern user experience. To fit the bigger screen, Mahindra has also repositioned the central AC vents.

The updated Scorpio N will finally receive a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The current model uses analogue dials with a small MID, but the new display will bring the SUV in line with models like the XUV 3XO, XUV 7XO and Thar Roxx. It is also expected to support full-screen navigation and display more vehicle information.
The panoramic sunroof is expected to be the biggest highlight of the 2026 update. Mahindra currently offers only a single-pane sunroof on the Scorpio N, but the new model will introduce a larger panoramic unit for the top-spec Z8L variant. Lower trims are likely to continue with the existing single-pane sunroof.
Exterior changes will be minimal, but the SUV will receive a new design for its 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Apart from the new wheels, the overall styling is expected to remain almost identical to the current Scorpio N.
Mahindra is also improving convenience inside the cabin. The updated Scorpio N will get a 65W Type-C charging port for front occupants, making it easier to quickly charge smartphones and other compatible devices. A wireless phone charger will also continue to be offered.
Another important addition is a 360-degree camera. Considering the Scorpio N's large dimensions, this feature will make parking and driving through narrow roads much easier. The current model only gets a reverse parking camera, so this upgrade should improve everyday usability.
Under the bonnet, Mahindra is expected to continue with the existing engine options. The SUV will retain the 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine that produces 203 PS and up to 380 Nm, along with the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that develops up to 175 PS and 400 Nm.
Both engines will continue to be offered with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options. Buyers choosing the diesel version will also have the option of a 4x4 drivetrain.

The updated Scorpio N is expected to arrive around the festive season with a slight increase in price. It is likely to start from around Rs 13.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Although the Scorpio N does not have a direct body-on-frame rival, it competes for buyers with SUVs such as the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.
