4 Confirmed Mahindra SUVs Heading to India by Early 2027

Mahindra Lifestyler arriving by April 2027 Thar facelift to share design and interior with Thar Roxx BE 7 EV and Vision S SUVs to launch by early 2027

Mahindra & Mahindra is expanding its SUV footprint with an aggressive slate of EV, lifestyle, and compact offerings scheduled to be introduced in the near future. The company is targeting 16 new launches in the country by 2031, including the brand’s new range of SUVs based on the NU_IQ platform.

Mahindra Thar Facelift

The 3-door off-roader will receive a comprehensive makeover in near future. It will come with premium tech and design cues from the 5-door Thar Roxx. The spy images reveal that the SUV will get a double-stacked 6-slot grille, circular LED projector headlights, a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen and a digital instrument console.

For safety and security, the Thar facelift will get LEVEL 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, and door-mounted power window controls. The SUV will continue to be offered with the 1.5L Diesel (RWD), 2.2L mHawk diesel (4WD), and 2.0L mStallion Turbo-Petrol options.

Mahindra Vision S

Mahindra Vision S India Launch

Based on the flexible NU_IQ platform, the Mahindra Vision S previews a sub-4 meter compact SUV offering boxy, rugged design. It is rumoured to be the smallest member of the Scorpio nameplate. The SUV comes with pixel-type LED lighting, thick body cladding, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, and a segment-largest 2,665mm wheelbase. The SUV is expected to be offered with petrol and diesel engine options; however, a pure electric and hybrid versions are likely to join the lineup at a later stage.

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler

Scorpio Lifestyler India Launch

Unveiled in near-production concept form, the Scorpio Lifestyler is a dual-cab lifestyle pickup truck for India as well as international market. It is built on the Scorpio N’s ladder-on-frame chassis, and targets the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. The company had revealed the SUV in three editions - Valley, Reef and Trail - featuring different cladding and paint schemes. The pickup gets heavy body cladding, inverted L-shaped DRLs and a functional rear bed.

It is expected to be offered with the 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines. Transmission choices likely to include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. A 4x4 drivetrain is likely to be offered as standard. Mahindra has confirmed that the new Lifestyler will be launched by April 2027 with starting price under Rs 19.79 lakh, ex-showroom.

Mahindra BE 07

Mahindra BE 7 Electric SUV

It will be the brand’s fourth Born-EV model based on the modular INGLO electric platform. The electric SUV comes with a frameless doors and flush-type door handles. It will be positioned between the BE 6 Sporteq and the XEV 9e. The new electric SUV will come with a proper SUV styling and will rival the Tata Harrier EV and others in the category. It is expected to be offered with three battery choices - 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh - with a front-axle-mounted electric motor. The higher-spec variants are expected to offer a realistic range of over 500 km on a single charge.
