Here is a list of top 4 upcoming Kia hybrid models heading to the Indian market in the next couple of years.

1. Next-Gen Kia Sonet Hybrid

The Kia Sonet will enter the next generation in 2027. In the new avatar, the SUV will migrate to the K1 modular platform that also underpins the Kia Syros and the Hyundai Venue. This platform is compatible with multiple powertrain options, including the strong-hybrid.

It is expected to be packed with a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine paired with an electric motor and battery setup. The company would be aiming a fuel efficiency figures of around 28-30kmpl. The hybrid Sonet is expected to be launched in the country by 2028-2029.

Kia has officially announced to launch the Seltos hybrid in the Indian market in the next 1-2 years. It is expected to feature a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine paired with a hybrid electric motor setup. The same powertrain will first debut in the next-gen Hyundai Creta, which is set to arrive in early 2027. The Seltos hybrid is expected to deliver a real-world fuel economy of around 25 kmpl. It is most likely to be launched in late 2027.

Kia has also announced to introduce the hybrid versions of the Carens and Carens Clavis. These models will cater to long-distance highway drivers. The hybrid models are expected to be launched by 2028.

4. Kia Carnival Hybrid

Similar to the Sorento Hybrid, the Kia Carnival MPV will also receive a strong hybrid powertrain before the end of this financial year.
