2026 Mahindra Thar 3-Door Facelift Launches Today: Fresh Features
Thar 3-door facelift to get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit It will share design changes with the Thar Roxx.
Mahindra is all set to introduce the updated 3-door Thar facelift in India today. Set to receive key aesthetic and convenience changes, the refreshed off-roader will bridge the gap between the rugged lifestyle and everyday modern comfort.
What’s New on the 2026 Thar Facelift?
Redesigned Front & Lighting: the Thar facelift will receive a revised front fascia inspired by the Thar Roxx. It gets an updated front grille alongside projector LED headlamps framed by signature C-shaped daytime running lamps. At the back, the SUV’s boxy LED tail-lamps also get the C-shaped lighting elements. The SUV will also receive a newly styled alloy wheels.
Interior & Cabin Tech: Inside the cabin, the SUV will retain the familiar rugged look with use of hard plastic. The spy images suggest that the SUV’s cabin will have gloss-black detailing, new leatherette seat options, and enhanced convenience feature. It will get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, a 360-degree surround view camera, a digital driver’s display, and a wireless charging pad. The Thar facelift is also expected to get a Thar Roxx-like steering wheel, a rear wiper and washer, and a much-needed rear air con vents.
Same Powertrains: the SUV will be offered with the same three engine options, including a 152hp, 2.0L turbo petrol, a 119hp, 1.5L diesel and a 132hp, 2.2-litre diesel. The 1.5L diesel engine is available exclusively with a rear-wheel-drive layout, and is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine is available with both RWD and four-wheel-drive (4WD) options. The 2.2-litre diesel engine gets 4WD setup as standard. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
Expected to be priced around Rs 10.5 lakh to Rs 18 lakh, the updated 3-door Mahindra Thar will rival the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and Force Gurkha.
