Mahindra to showcase Vision S and BE 7 SUVs on August 14-15 Vision S based SUV will be the smallest member of the Scorpio family

Mahindra & Mahindra, India's leading SUV maker has recently launched the long-awaited Scorpio-N facelift. The company is also planning to launch the refreshed BE 6 electric Coupe SUV, which will receive a triple screen setup and new set of features. The big news is that Mahindra is expected to reveal two brand new SUVs on the occasion of August 15, that's Independence Day 2026. Mahindra is currently testing the Vision S concept based compact SUV and an all-new electric SUV based on the BE.07 Concept.

The latest spy shots of the Vision S suggest that the SUV is undergoing final rounds of testing, and it is expected to be launched sometime late 2026 or early 2027. Rumoured to be the smallest member of the Scorpio-N family, the Mahindra Vision S based SUV will carry a traditional rugged SUV look. Some of the design highlights will include L-shaped LED headlamps, new six slat Mahindra's grille, a radar module for ADAS at the front end, and a pronounced lower air dam with a closed-off centre trim and a muscular clamshell bonnet. The SUV will have flush door handles, a panoramic sunroof, a short rear overhang and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel.

Similar to the Mahindra XUV 7XO, the production-ready Vision S is also expected to feature Mahindra’s DaVinci suspension system. The cabin is likely to get dual displays for infotainment unit and a fully digital instrument console, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, ventilated front seats, automatic AC, wireless phone charging and others. For safety and security, the SUV will get six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill hold and descent control, front and rear parking sensors, TPMS and LEVEL 2 ADAS.

The new Vision S will be the first model to be based on the all-new NU_IQ modular platform. It is expected to be offered with multiple engine options, including petrol, diesel, electric and hybrid.

Mahindra BE 7 - New Harrier EV Rival

Mahindra is expected to introduce its fourth born-electric SUV by the end of this year or early next year. It will be the production version of the BE.07 concept, and likely to be called the Mahindra BE 7. The new electric SUV will be positioned between the BE 6 and XEV 9e in Mahindra's EV line-up in India. Instead of Coupe-SUV profile, the Mahindra BE 7 will carry a more conventional, practical and spacious SUV silhouette.

The spy images reveal that the BE 7 production model will have frameless doors and motorised flush-fitting pop-out door handles. The BE 7 design will remain true to its official concept, featuring sharply raked rear windshield. It will be based on the INGLO born-EV platform and will measure around 4.6 meters in length. The SUV is expected to be offered with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack. The bigger battery version is expected to get a dual-motor AWD setup, and will directly rival the Tata Harrier EV.
