The long awaited MG Majestor full-size SUV will finally go on sale in the Indian market tomorrow. The company has released multiple teasers, revealing its styling, off-road capabilities and spacious cabin. It will be the brand’s new flagship ICE-powered vehicle. The new Majestor will be positioned above the Gloster in MG’s line-up.
The new D+ segment SUV will be the longest SUV in its category. The new Majestor is likely to be priced around Rs 45 lakh and Rs 50 lakh, ex-showroom. It will directly rival the Toyota Fortuner, which is currently the most popular and top-seller SUV in the D-category.
The new Majestor will be powered by the same 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that powers the Gloster. This engine produces 216bhp and 479Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The new Majestor will be equipped with a 4-wheel drive system and three off-road (terrain) modes - Rock, Sand and Snow.

The new Majestor measures 5406mm in length, 2016mm in width and 1876mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2950mm. It is 61mm longer and 90mm wider than the Gloster.
