Hyundai has started testing the next-gen Creta SUV on the streets of South Korea. Likely to be launched by the end of next financial year, by March 2027, the new Hyundai Creta will receive massive changes in terms of design, interiors and mechanics. Based on the spy images, we listed down top 10 changes in the next-gen Creta over the current model.

It is evident from the spy images, the next-gen Creta will ride on a longer wheelbase. Similar to the new-gen Kia Seltos, the Creta could get a wheelbase of around 2690mm. This will allow Hyundai engineers to offer more space inside the cabin and bigger boot.
Not just the wheelbase, the next-gen Hyundai Creta will grow in size. It will measure around 4.5 meters in length, and will be wider and taller than the outgoing model. Moreover, the usable boot space could increase up to 450-460-litres.
The new-gen Hyundai Creta will be built on the global K3 platform instead of the SP2 architecture. This platform is claimed to be stronger and offers improved structural rigidity and safety. The current model secured 3 star crash test rating in GNCAP, while the next-gen Creta is expected to secure 5 star safety rating.
The next-gen Creta will carry a more boxy, squarer shape instead of the roundish profile. Its styling seems inspired by the Hyundai Palisade, featuring smoother surfaces and less prominent creases and curves. The SUV has a flatter roof, large glass areas and relatively flatter bonnet.

Going by the spy images, it is visible that the next-gen Creta will carry an all-new front design with massive front grille, split headlamp setup, and pronounced lower bumper. The SUV has front parking sensors, a camera for 360-degree view, and RADAR module for ADAS tech.

The spotted model rides on newly designed 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, wrapped in 235/45 section tyres. This upgrade suggests that the SUV will have wider track with a more planted road presence. The lower-spec models could get 16-17 and 18-inch wheels.

The spy images confirmed the presence of electric Boss Mode. The front passenger seat can be electrically adjustable by rear occupants using electric controls on the side of the seat. This will allow rear passengers to slide the front seat forward and recline it to free up more legroom.

Another welcome addition in terms of safety and comfort is the availability of adjustable headrests for all three rear passengers.

The dashboard is fully covered in black thick cloth, but it is suggested to feature a bigger connected display. Similar to the new Seltos, the next-gen Creta is likely to get a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. The lower-spec variants are likely to get a 10.25-inch infotainment touch display.
The next-gen Hyundai Creta will retain its engine options, including a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel. The biggest change will come in the form of a hybrid powertrain. It will come with an all-new strong hybrid engine, which is likely to use the 1.5L NA petrol engine, two electric motors and a small battery pack.
