Hyundai planning 26 new models for India by 2030. New-gen Creta and i20 to receive major upgrades.
Hyundai recently announced its future plans for the Indian market till FY2030, which include the introduction of 26 models comprising new nameplates, generational upgrades, facelifts and product derivatives. The future roadmap also highlights Hyundai’s entry in two new segments – MPV and off-roader - along with a strong focus on the mass-market EV segment.
As a part of its multi-powertrain strategy, the South Korean automaker will introduce 13 ICE (internal combustion engine), 5 EVs (electric vehicles), 8 hybrids and 6 CNG models. Furthermore, Hyundai’s luxury brand, Genesis is set make its India debut in 2027. The Genesis GV80 could be the brand’s first offering in the country.
Hyundai’s two popular models – the Creta midsize SUV and the i20 hatchback – are getting ready for full generational upgrades. The third-generation Hyundai Creta will arrive in 2027 with significantly improved styling, a more premium interior and a hybrid powertrain. Meanwhile, the all-new Hyundai i20 is expected to launch in FY2028.
The 2027 Hyundai Creta will share the K2 platform and several design elements from the new Kia Seltos. The SUV will also grow in terms of dimensions. Spy images reveal that the all-new Creta will debut with Hyundai’s Pleos Connect system, featuring a large centre touchscreen, a slim driver’s display and a built-on Gleo AI. An updated ADAS suite, rear seat adjustable headrests, front seat headrests, new upholstery and trims could also be part of the package.
The existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, turbo petrol and diesel engines are expected to be carried forward. The new Hyundai Creta might also get a new strong hybrid powertrain with the generation upgrade.

The Hyundai i20 hatchback is set to enter in its fourth generation with comprehensive upgrades. The spied test mule reveal that the new model will share several features with the Venue including dual curved screens, a new steering wheel, a 360-degree camera and an ADAS suite.
On the exterior, the new-gen i20 is likely to feature a redesigned grille and new dual-tone alloy wheels with a star pattern. The all-new Hyundai i20 is expected to be offered with the 88bhp, 1.2L petrol engine and two gearbox options – a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic. The N Line version might use the same 120bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol engine along with 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox options. Hyundai is developing a new hybrid-ready 1.2L turbo petrol engine, which might be introduced in the new-gen i20 lineup.
