Next-Gen Hyundai Creta Spotted Next to Current Model Showing Huge Size Difference

Next-gen Hyundai Creta to grow in size It will ride on a longer wheelbase, around 2690mm The new Creta will launch in first half of 2027

It is no secret that Hyundai is working on the next generation Creta SUV, which has been spotted testing numerous times on the Indian roads. Scheduled to be launched in 2027, the new model will come with significant changes in terms of size, design and interiors. A camouflaged 2027 Hyundai Creta was recently caught testing alongside the current-generation model, revealing the size difference.

Upgraded Platform and Bigger Dimensions

New Creta Vs Old Creta Size

We reported earlier that the next Creta will be based on the third-generation K3 platform that also underpins the latest Kia Seltos. In the spy images, the camouflaged test mule is visibly longer and wider, offering a taller bonnet and a squarer, more upright silhouette.

It is expected that the next-gen Hyundai Creta will measure around 4.3 meters in length, and will ride on a longer wheelbase. Like the new Seltos, the Hyundai’s SUV is expected to have a wheelbase of around 2690mm. The SUV could measure around 4.45-4.5 meters in length, leaving enough space to introduce the new Bayon midsize SUV. The Bayon will be positioned between the Venue and next Creta, and its launch will take place by Diwali 2026.

The spotted model has a vertical front fascia, new alloy wheels, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and redesigned lighting elements inspired by Hyundai’s latest global design philosophy.

Tech-Heavy Interiors & Pleos Connect System

Spy images confirmed that the new Creta will get Hyundai’s new Pleos Connect system, featuring a massive central touchscreen paired with a sleek digital driver’s display. The good news is that the physical buttons and dials are retained for core controls to minimise driver distraction. Thanks to increased wheelbase, the next Creta will offer more space inside the cabin along with the bigger boot. It will continue to offer features like wireless charging, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, and ventilated seats.

Engine Options

It is expected to be offered with 4 engine options, including a 1.5-litre NA petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol, a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel and a 1.5-litre Strong Hybrid. The strong hybrid engine is likely to be based on the 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine with a small battery pack and a single electric motor. Hyundai will be targeting a fuel efficiency of around 25kmpl.
